[237120, A1] Wk 2: Task 3b- Comparing & Contrasting Written Response

The City Gallery Wellington and the San Fran bar and venue on Cuba Street are similar in their showcasing of works to establish connection between artist and viewers, but very different in their delivery and aims of doing so.

The sites are similar in that they both display the talents of local artists in different fields. The sites themselves are highly atmospheric, and reflect the history of the building sites within their space and design choices.

The sites are different in that they have different aims in their portrayal of the arts. City Gallery Wellington operates largely without charge to view the artworks in order to get as wide viewership as possible. Conversely, San Fran is run as a business and as such limits its audience by charging its customers.
